On August 15, we held a celebration
to mark the director’s 80th birthday. Chiba Prefecture was hit by torrential rain, and traffic came to a standstill.
Even so, my two older sisters and their families drove all the way to join us, and we were able to celebrate. It turned out to be a wonderful celebration, featuring a tea ceremony performed in front of the “Furo-saki” folding screen by Koichi, as well as trumpet and guitar performances and singing in the gallery. Thank you, everyone!
